PCs are covered.Prints are final.
Last updated 31 July 2025. These terms apply to every build, repair and print order we take on. They haven't been reviewed by a lawyer yet — treat this as our best plain-English explanation of how we work, not final legal advice.
Who you're buying from
0xTech, ABN 38 650 763 467, 8 Greenway Crescent, Hillbank SA 5114. Reach us at hello@onex.technology or +61 403 966 815. Placing an order, approving a quote or paying a deposit means you accept these terms.
Quotes, orders and payment
- ✦Quotes are valid for 14 days. Hardware pricing moves, and we can't hold a parts price longer than our supplier holds ours.
- ✦An order starts when you approve the quote in writing — email or message is fine — and pay any deposit we've asked for.
- ✦Deposits cover parts and materials we buy in for your job. Once those are ordered, the deposit stops being refundable.
- ✦Balance is due before pickup or dispatch unless we've agreed otherwise in writing.
- ✦Change your mind about specs mid-build and we'll do our best, but parts already bought are yours and any extra labour is quoted separately.
Warranty — PC products
Anything we build, fit or repair is covered. This is the part we actually stand behind:
- ✦Our workmanship on a build — assembly, cabling, mounting, loop work and the tune we shipped it with — is covered for 12 months from pickup.
- ✦Parts we supply and fit are covered for 12 months, or the manufacturer's term if that's longer. We handle the RMA with the manufacturer for you — you don't chase it yourself.
- ✦Repair labour is covered for 90 days against the specific fault we fixed. If the same fault comes back in that window, bring it in and we make it right at no charge.
- ✦Loops and liquid cooling are air-pressure tested before coolant goes near a block. If one of our fittings leaks, we cover the repair and any hardware it damaged.
What warranty doesn't cover: accidental damage, drops, liquid spills, power surges and lightning, insects and rodents, theft, damage from a third party opening the machine up, overclocking past what we set, software and operating-system problems, malware, consumables like thermal paste and coolant past their service life, and normal cosmetic wear. Data loss is never covered — keep your own backups.
Warranty covers repair or replacement of the faulty part or the work that caused it. It isn't a change-of-mind return path — a machine built to a spec you approved isn't returnable because you'd rather have picked different parts.
Repairs and diagnosis
- ✦Diagnosis is $99, credited back against the repair if you go ahead. If we can't fix it, you don't pay for the repair.
- ✦We quote before we work. If the job turns out bigger once it's open, we stop and re-quote rather than surprise you at pickup.
- ✦Back up your data before you hand a device over. We take real care with what's on your drive — see the privacy policy — but a failing device can lose data at any moment and we can't warrant against that.
- ✦Devices left more than 90 days after we tell you the job is done may be sold or recycled to recover unpaid charges, after we've given you written notice.
3D printing — no returns
Every print is made to order from the model you give us. It has no resale value to anyone but you, so 3D printed items are not returnable, refundable or exchangeable — including for change of mind, a part that doesn't fit the assembly you had in mind, or a design that didn't turn out how you pictured it.
Once a print job starts, it can't be cancelled. Material and machine time are already committed.
Your model, your responsibility
We print what you send us. Supplying an accurate, complete, print-ready model is your responsibility, not ours:
- ✦Your file needs correct dimensions, correct units and correct tolerances for how the part will actually be used. We build to the geometry in the file — we don't redesign it.
- ✦The mesh needs to be watertight and manifold, with no inverted normals, stray shells or self-intersections. A model that slices badly prints badly.
- ✦If we spot an obvious problem we'll flag it before we print, but we're not obliged to audit your file and we don't guarantee we'll catch everything.
- ✦Repairs, remeshing, hollowing, scaling or design changes are separate work. We only touch your model if you ask us to and we quote it.
- ✦Prototyping a part that has to fit something? Order a test print first. It's far cheaper than a full run that's a millimetre out.
- ✦You warrant that you own the model or have the right to have it reproduced. We'll decline anything that looks like it infringes someone's IP, and anything illegal or unsafe to print.
A print that faithfully matches your model isn't a defect, even if the model itself was wrong. That's a redesign and a reprint, both quoted as new work.
What's normal for a print
Additive manufacturing has inherent characteristics. None of the following count as faults:
- ✦Visible layer lines, seams and minor surface texture.
- ✦Support contact marks and light witness marks where supports were removed.
- ✦Dimensional variance within roughly ±0.5% or ±0.5 mm, whichever is larger, unless we've agreed a tighter tolerance in writing.
- ✦Slight colour and finish variation between batches, filament spools or resin lots.
- ✦Anisotropic strength — printed parts are weaker along the layer axis than moulded or machined equivalents.
- ✦Warping, creep or discolouration from UV, heat or load after delivery. Printed plastics aren't engineering-grade unless the material was specified for it.
When we do reprint
The no-returns rule covers your design decisions, not our mistakes. We reprint or refund at our cost when:
- ✦The print doesn't match the model you supplied — wrong scale, wrong orientation, missing geometry, printed from the wrong file or the wrong revision.
- ✦We used a different material, colour or finish than the one you approved.
- ✦The part failed in our process — delamination, a failed layer, a collapsed print, incomplete curing, or damage from support removal or post-processing on our bench.
- ✦It was damaged in transit and you tell us within 7 days of delivery.
Raise a problem within 7 days of pickup or delivery, with photos. We'll ask you to return the part before we reprint it.
Files we hold
Your model stays yours. We don't sell it, share it or print it for anyone else. We keep supplied files only as long as we need them to complete the job and honour a reprint, then delete them — so keep your own copy of the source file.
Pickup, delivery and risk
Risk passes to you on pickup, or on delivery to the address you gave us. Lead times are estimates given in good faith — parts supply, print failures and repair complications happen, and we'll tell you as soon as a date is going to move.
Your rights under Australian law
Nothing on this page limits your rights under the Australian Consumer Law. Our goods and services come with guarantees that can't be excluded — including that goods are of acceptable quality, match their description, and are fit for a purpose you told us about. You're entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure, and to compensation for other reasonably foreseeable loss.
The no-returns rule on printed items covers change of mind and faults in a model you supplied — situations where the ACL guarantees don't apply. It doesn't override those guarantees where they do. The warranty periods above sit on top of your statutory rights, not instead of them.
Problems and changes
Something wrong? Call +61 403 966 815 or email hello@onex.technology. We'd much rather sort it out over the bench than have you sit on it. These terms are governed by the law of South Australia, and we'll update the date at the top whenever they change. Last updated 31 July 2025.
