What we collect and why
Enquiry form. Name, phone, email, device details, a description of the fault, and any photos you choose to upload. We use this to respond to your enquiry and to provide the service you asked for — nothing else.
Analytics. We use Vercel Analytics on this site. It reports aggregate page views only — no personal identification, no cross-site tracking, no cookies set for advertising.
Devices left for service. When you drop off a machine for repair, we necessarily have access to whatever is stored on it. How we handle that is the most important part of this page — see below.
Your device, on our bench
A repair shop ends up holding more of your personal data than most small businesses do, and this is where your actual concern probably lives. Here's exactly how we handle it:
- ✦Drives are never wiped without your explicit written sign-off.
- ✦Data recovery jobs are handled read-only from the moment the drive arrives.
- ✦We access stored data only as far as diagnosis or repair actually requires.
- ✦Imaging is offered before any risky work, so nothing is lost if something goes wrong.
- ✦We don't copy, retain or share anything off your device — what's on it stays yours.
- ✦Devices awaiting collection are stored secured at the workshop, not left out on a bench overnight.
- ✦If you supply a password for testing, it's destroyed once the job is done — change it afterwards regardless.
Who else touches the data
Two processors, and that's the whole list:
- ✦Resend — delivers the enquiry form submission to our inbox. It sees whatever you type into the form. Nothing more.
- ✦Vercel — hosts this site and runs the aggregate analytics described above.
We don't sell your data, and we don't use it for advertising — ours or anyone else's.
Retention
We keep enquiry and job records for as long as we need them to honour a workmanship guarantee and to meet our tax obligations, then delete them. Photos supplied with an enquiry are deleted once the job closes.

Complaints
Contact us first using the details above — most things are a five-minute fix. If we can't resolve it between us, you can take it to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
Cookies
The only thing set on this site is Vercel Analytics, which doesn't use cookies to track you individually — it counts page views in aggregate. That's it.
Changes
We'll update the date at the top of this page whenever this policy changes. Last updated 25 July 2026.
